Dr Andrew Schmidt completed undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta and received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to study at New York University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr Schmidt and his wife loved Manhattan, the diverse people, and relationships they made, but decided to return to Edmonton where their families were located to also start their own. They are the proud parents of a young son and daughter, three years apart. Dr. Schmidt enjoys mountain biking and visiting the local farmers markets, whenever life with his young family allows. He has a passion for health and well-being which also permeates through his delivery of dental-oral health care.​

Prior to opening Groove Dental, Dr. Schmidt provided dentistry to the people in the communities of Edmonton and St Albert. Dr Schmidt is pleased to settle his practice in the heart of the Glenora community. He strives to provide quality care through engaging and inclusive discussion about your oral health concerns and treatment methods.
